On 1st of April, 2025, the HybridNeuro Hub was presented at the event “Smart Specialisation – an Opportunity for Companies in the Podravje Region”, held in the multifunctional hall in Bohova, Municipality of Hoče, Slovenia. Organized by the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development and SPOT Podravje – Regional Development Agency Podravje – Maribor, the event convened key industry stakeholders, policymakers and national contact point (NCP) representatives to discuss opportunities within Slovenia’s Smart Specialisation Strategy – S5.
The HybridNeuro Hub was introduced by Aleš Holobar as a pioneering ecosystem for research at the interface of human and artificial intelligence. As part of the HybridNeuro project, the Hub serves as a long-term initiative advancing human-machine interaction technologies. Technologies developed within the System Software Laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor, have broad applicability – ranging from industrial innovation to clinical practice.
Supported by Tanja Botić, the Hub was recognized as an exemplary model of international scientific collaboration and high-impact research and technological development. By fostering multidisciplinary cooperation and translational research, the HybridNeuro Hub contributes to regional development and global scientific progress.
